
Janet L. Meiselman, PsyD
Dr. Meiselman is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults to meet the challenges and changes inherent in the second half of life. She graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts with a bachelor of science degree in management and the California Institute of Integral Studies with a doctorate in clinical psychology. Dr. Meiselman completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at Laguna Honda Hospital and her post-doctoral training at the Institute on Aging (IOA) in San Francisco, specializing in neuropsychology. She later worked as a clinical supervisor for practicum and doctoral level students in psychology and neuropsychology at the IOA. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Meiselman has supported older adults, along with their families and care providers as an Ombudsman, investigating and advocating for residents living in long-term care facilities; as neuropsychologist to identify the strengths and vulnerabilities of cognitive aging and offer strategies to work with cognitive impairment; as a cognitive coach to encourage cognitive health and enhance memory consolidation; and as a psychotherapist for individual, family and group counseling. As a clinician, she works with individuals to assess and treat mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, substance abuse problems, and cognitive impairment.
